Sheilvy Salazar
Visual Practitioner
Sheilvy’s purpose is to inspire individuals to learn by visualising key ideas and insights. She believes that visual language is a more effective way to improve communication, trigger innovative ideas and bring them to life.
After 14 years in the UAE and working for a consulting, training and teambuilding company, Sheilvy finally co-founded iSTORYa Studio. Her entrepreneurial spirit combined with her professional experience as a graphic recorder and graphic designer have allowed her to effectively develop her ability to synthesise ideas and stories into visually impactful content.
She has a diverse experience in working with and live scribing insights from across different industries such as healthcare, oil and gas, airline, pharmaceuticals, construction, technology, transport, government, retail, hospitality and consulting, among others.
Outside of iSTORYa Studio, Sheilvy loves to travel, taking photos, reading inspiring books, filling up her sketchbook and is trying her best to learn how to cook.
MARIA CHARISMA DIMACALI
HEAD OF CREATIVE
Charisma’s intention is to inspire individuals to seek the extra in the ordinary and translate these stories and emotions into tangible expressions through illustration and design.
With a wealth of experience as a graphic and presentation designer for diverse consulting and training companies, she has honed her expertise in blending design with storytelling. Firmly convinced of the power of visual communication, she endeavors to capture content and text in ways that make learning more engaging.
She remains awe-struck by the remarkable ability of seemingly ‘simple’ illustrations or designs, whether accompanied by text or not, to convey the essence of the human experience—both in the corporate world and the realm of whimsical imagination.
Even beyond her professional pursuits, Charisma’s life is intricately intertwined with illustration and design. She aims to become a picture book illustrator and author, a dream that fuels her continuous research, learning, and dedication to mastering the art of illustrating narratives in its simple complexity.
Romina Jaimes
Graphic Recorder
Romina’s motivation is to support teams or individuals improve communication, facilitate learning, spark creativity and engagement by using visuals.
Her extensive Human Resources experience, specifically in the area of Learning & Development, made her aware of how key messages, technical learning or just simple ideas often require an additional infusion of creativity in order to be easily understood, well-interpreted, valued and remembered.
This awareness and her desire to find ways to communicate more effectively led her to begin her journey into the visual world and develop skills as a Graphic Recorder.
She truly enjoys synthesising ideas and creating memorable visuals that have valuable meaning to the audience.
When not practicing or Graphic Recording, Romina loves crafting, shopping, gardening, going to the beach and spending time with her family.
